Macau: A Fusion of Tradition, Glamour, and Adventure!
Inspired by a movie of one of my favorite Thai Artist and Actor called Bie the Star who participated in the Stars a musical competition that attracted me and inspired me so much to experience and go to the city of Macau that is situated partly in China And Hong Kong basically an Island.
Formerly a Portuguese colony, the territory of Portuguese Macau was first leased to Portugal by the Ming Dynasty as a trading post in Portugal later gained perpetual colonial rights. The colony remained under Portuguese rule until the 1999 and then handover to China.
Macau is a special region of China.
The unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese architecture in the city’s historic city has resulted in its inscription on the Unesco World Heritage. Originally a sparsely populated collection of coastal islands.
Macau, often referred to as the “Las Vegas of the East”, since the late 20th century has become a major resort city and a top destination for gambling tourism.
Its gambling industry is seven times larger than that of Las Vegas. It has a very high Human development as calculated by the Macau government
I am inspired by the colorful city attracted and by the Portugese influence a beautiful small city that I can only spend about three days thats enough for me to see and capture what attracts me loads of shopping huge casinos that is not my style or what does not attract me but beautiful colorful buildings and ruins that can be captured in your memory forever and also the coffee shops and little small classic souvenir shops that I can spend in hours and buy from clothes to post cards etc.
The roads are small steep and the food is plenty mostly Chinese or some Western style but tasty.
Its a walking city and transport are efficient and also very clean and on time.
I loved the city but for me to go to Macau many times are too much what I have witnessed was enuf to keep as special memories and will I probably go back just to capture some more photos or to capture some real places that I missed on my first visit.
I will recommend a once off visit to Macau or a day tour to Macau from Hong Kong.
A beautiful vibrant lit up city when the sun sets.
Be daring and go
I loved it as I love seeing and experiencing new places.
Macau for me in a small sentence is a big Las Vegas and growing fast.
